Impressions from Austria

This week I am in Austria, somewhere in Upper Austria, Klaffer, participating in Grudtvig Workshop on Social Media. The place is really nice, with lakes, big forests, isolated from civilization, cold, white snow everywhere, and new friends from all over Europe.

Some first conclusions:

• Social media are not so much embrased in conservative Austria.
• Social media are wide spreaad in former Soviet Union’s countries and in Turkey.
• Social experts from Austria know just the basic, comparing to knowledge from the participants.
• Exchanging of experience, know-how and ideas among different backgrounds can lead to really creative concepts.
• Difference of mentality among countries between Southern and Northern Europe.
• Marvellous country cultural nights. Nice food, drinks, gifts, music and dances from 10 different countries.
• Sauna is an amazing experience when everything outside is white!

New, exciting friends, hoping that we ll keep in touch after this!!!!
